Terms of service
All the prices you will see are prices including VAT. There is no fine print in our offers. Regularly promotions will be given on articles, these will appear with the article price or in the collection 'promotions'. Discount codes will be shown in the webshop and/or the newsletter. All our (handmade) articles will be offered as budget-friendly as possible.
The shipping costs depend on the weight of the ordered goods. Transport will be done by PostNL. Picking up an order in our warehouse/shop is also possible. See us for more info shipping policy.
There is no minimum amount per order.
We expect payment as soon as possible after the order. Invoices are payable within a period of 15 days from the invoice date. In the absence of payment within this period, interest equal to 8% and a fixed compensation equal to 10% (with a minimum of €25) will be due without prior notice being required.
In the event of a dispute, only the material competent courts of the registered office of Houten Education material, or those of the place of residence of the customer, at the choice of Houten Education material, are competent.
You can download the invoice of the ordered goods in the e-mail that indicates the status of dispatch. If desired, this can also be sent on paper with the goods to be delivered.
In principle, there is a guarantee on the soundness of the production process of 6 months after the invoice date. If we do not receive a report of defects in the production process within this period, further complaints will be inadmissible and will be considered as a result of misuse.
The right of withdrawal
You have the right to withdraw from the agreement within a period of 14 days with a statement of reasons. During this period you can do with the product what is reasonably necessary to assess the product. You are allowed to try out the product as you would in a physical store. You can also remove the product from the packaging. If you have done more than was necessary to try the product, we can charge you for this. The withdrawal period expires 14 days after the day on which you, or a third party designated by you other than the carrier, received the product. If you have ordered several goods with different delivery times in one order, the withdrawal period will expire 14 days after the day on which you received the last product or part. To make use of your right of withdrawal, you can register the product for return within 14 days after receipt without giving any reason. After this notification you have another 14 days to actually return the product. We request that you return the product in the original packaging as much as possible. In the event of a withdrawal, you will receive all payments, including delivery costs for the forwarding, as soon as possible and no later than 14 days after we have received the product in good condition. We will pay you back with the same payment method you used to pay. Unless you agree another method with us. You bear the costs for the return shipment yourself.
Exclusion right of withdrawal
The right of withdrawal is excluded for:
- digital files that are forwarded (in PDF).
- game material that will be tested for counterfeiting.
Some types of wood can release substances such as formaldehyde. Regular ventilation of the rooms is therefore recommended. Wooden educational material is not responsible for accidents with relevant supplied material!
It can always happen that something doesn't go quite as planned. We recommend that you first make complaints known to us by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org. If this does not lead to a solution, it is possible to register your dispute for mediation via Stichting WebwinkelKeur. From 15 February 2016 it is also possible for consumers in the EU to register complaints via the ODR platforms of the European Commission. If your complaint is not yet being processed elsewhere, you are free to deposit your complaint via the platform of the European Union.
