Breeding kit - wild bees
The diversity of animal and plant species, the biodiversity, of our earth is under threat. This is becoming more and more visible in gardens and the school environment. Bee mortality has now also become an important theme in the media.
With this grow kit you help to maintain biodiversity in your area. Growing red mason bees (insect of the year 2019) is easy. From April to June there is lively activity around the nest block and peaceful wild bees buzz and fly everywhere. They search for food, lay eggs, build nests – an unforgettable experience for the children!
It can also happen that other wild bee species will also inhabit the nest block. With the special nest block, the metamorphosis from larva to wild bee can be observed up close.
The grow kit offers many exciting insights into the life of the bee. At the same time, it is a great impulse to furnish the outdoor area as nature-friendly as possible and to create opportunities for attracting other insects and animal species. Step by step you bring a piece of nature into the school. Right outside the door, children can witness the fascinating and peace-loving wild bees and their humming relatives with their own eyes.
The grow kit is of course also very suitable for the garden at home or in the allotment garden.
